Drive-by shooting reported in Middle River, Martin Boulevard shut down

UPDATE 4: The victims in this case are now facing drug and weapons charges.

UPDATE 2: Martin Boulevard has been reopened.

UPDATE: Councilman David Marks reports that this was a targeted shooting and that there is no danger to the community.  Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call police at 410-307-2020.

MIDDLE RIVER, MD—Police are on the scene of a Tuesday shooting in Middle River.

At just before noon, initial reports indicate that two people were shot inside of a vehicle near the intersection of Martin Boulevard and Compass Road (21220).  The vehicle then crashed in a parking lot.

The suspects are believed to be driving on Martin Boulevard, heading toward Route 40.  No additional information is available at this time.

Martin Boulevard has been shut down at Compass Road.  Motorists should avoid the area.
