Hazmat crews responding after boat sinks in Gunpowder River

JOPPA, MD—Hazmat crews are responding after a boat sank in the Gunpowder River in Joppa on Monday.

The incident was reported at just after 12 p.m. (noon) on July 18th.



The boat reportedly sank in the area of Bridge Drive in Joppa and is leaking fuel, which prompted a hazmat response.

There has been no word on any injuries.  Motorists (and boaters) should use caution in the area.
