BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the Baltimore area.
The watch covers most of central Maryland and will remain in effect through 10 p.m. on Tuesday night. A Flash Flood Watch has also been issued.
Forecasters say the potential for severe weather on Tuesday afternoon and evening has increased across much of the Mid-Atlantic, especially along the Baltimore-Washington DC corridor.
These thunderstorms will be capable of producing damaging winds and large hail. A tornado can’t be ruled out.
Residents should stay tuned to local forecasts throughout the day.
