NOTTINGHAM, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning for the Nottingham area.
The warning will remain in effect until 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
Forecasters say flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. – Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area.
Some locations that will experience flooding include Baltimore, Middle River, Back River, Towson, Essex, Parkville, Carney, Perry Hall, Nottingham, Rosedale, Rossville, White Marsh, Bowleys Quarters, Kingsville, Edgewood, and Joppa.
Motorists are reminded to “turn around, don’t drown” when encountering flooded roads.
