BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch and a Flash Flood Watch for the Baltimore area.
The Flash Flood Watch will remain in effect until 8 p.m. on Thursday evening and the Severe Thunderstorm Watch will remain in effect until 9 p.m.
Forecasters say rainfall rates of 1-2 inches per hour with locally higher amounts are possible with any thunderstorms that develop through the remainder of the evening.
The primary threats will be damaging winds, large hail, and dangerous flooding.
