TOWSON, MD—In an effort to keep youth engaged during the summer months, the Baltimore County Police Department is providing Baltimore County youths with an opportunity to attend the 2022 Youth Leadership Academy. The program strives to encourage young people to understand their role in our communities and society.
Young people will learn leadership, decision-making, teamwork, and communication skills. Baltimore County youth between the ages of 14 to 18 are eligible to take part in the program but space is limited.
This year, the week-long program will be held from Monday, June 20th through Saturday, June 25th. The program runs Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. A graduation ceremony will be held on Saturday, June 25, starting at 10 a.m. The Youth Leadership Academy flyer (PDF) is available online here. Application Process Requirements
Students who wish to apply must meet the following requirements:
· Residents of Baltimore County
· Between 14 and 18 years of age
· In good academic standing
· Complete the application process
· Pass a background check

Waiver
The Youth Leadership Academy Waiver (PDF) must be completed and signed by the applicant and their parent or guardian. If the applicant is 18 years of age, the parent or guardian signature is optional. The waiver must be returned to the address or email listed on the application.
