Parkville man lands $29,655 Maryland Lottery prize

PARKVILLE, MD—A Parkville resident’s go-to Maryland Lottery games were Pick 4 and Keno until he switched his focus to Racetrax. It didn’t take much convincing for the 45-year-old to begin betting on the computer-animated horse racing game or too long for him to win his latest $29,655 prize.

The loyal player, who is calling himself “GMF,” visited 8 Days Liquors in Parkville where he frequently goes to play Maryland Lottery games. Prior to this win, “GMF” had already won a few small Racetrax prizes on Superfecta bets using horses 5, 2, 7 and 1. This time, the lucky winner said that he “was going to up the ante.”

Since he’d already had luck with the Superfecta bet type, “GMF” increased the bet amount to $5 for 20 drawings, played his four favorite horses and added the Bonus multiplier feature.  The result: the Parkville resident won in the 16th race and his bonus multiplier of x3 tripled his prize.

“GMF” has worked as an electrician for almost 30 years. When asked of his plans for his winnings, he said it is going into savings.

8 Days Liquors located at 1700 Taylor Avenue in Baltimore County received a $296.55 bonus from the Maryland Lottery for selling a winning Racetrax ticket of $10,000 or more. The bonus is equal to 1% of the prize.
