Teen surrenders to police in connection with killing of Nottingham DoorDash driver

NOTTINGHAM, MD—A teenager has surrendered to police in connection with the killing of a Nottingham DoorDash driver in Baltimore City.



At just before 2:30 a.m. on January 24, 51-year-old Cheryl McCormack was shot and killed in the 3900-block of White Avenue, following a botched robbery.

Detectives interviewed potential witnesses, reviewed several area cameras, and were ultimately able to identify the shooter.  An arrest warrant was eventually issued for the suspect.

At just after 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 23, the 16-year-old suspect turned himself in at police headquarters.

The suspect has been charged with first-degree murder and is currently waiting to see a court commissioner.
