Councilman Marks: Water project to begin in Perry Hall

NOTTINGHAM, MD—A water project will soon begin in Nottingham’s Seven Courts area, Councilman David Marks told NottinghamMD.com on Friday morning.

Baltimore County will replace 4,000 feet of water line in parts of Seven Courts Drive, Proctor Lane, and Gunview Road beginning the week of February 21st.

Contractors will replace 4- and 24-inch diameter pre-stressed concrete pipe with ductile iron pipe in a project which is anticipated to take between three and six months to complete.

The project will cost around $1,500,000.

“After chronic water breaks along Seven Courts Drive over the past two years, I pushed hard for improvements to the main along this corridor,” said Councilman Marks on Friday. “I am pleased the funding was included in the capital budget, and urge residents and motorists to be patient as this project begins.”

As the work progresses, residents will be kept informed by the contractor regarding temporary water shutoffs and parking changes needed to facilitate progress.

Councilman Marks says driving lanes disturbed by construction will be resurfaced upon completion of the project.
