BALTIMORE, MD—A GoFundMe page has been established to help the families of the firefighters who were killed and injured in Monday’s two-alarm blaze in Baltimore City.
Lt. Paul Butrim, Kelsey Sadler, and Kenny Lacayo were killed in a two-alarm blaze and partial building collapse that occurred at around 6:00 a.m. on Monday in the 200-block of S. Stricker Street in west Baltimore. A fourth firefighter, John McMaster, was in critical condition but has now been upgraded to “fair.” Officials say he is alert and conscious.
Governor Hogan has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff in memory of those lost and injured in the fire.
Baltimore Fire Fighters Local 734 and Baltimore City Fire Officers Local 964 established the GoFundMe page and hope to raise $50,000.00 by January 31 to help the families to offset funeral/memorial, medical, and other expenses.
Those who wish to contribute can visit the GoFundMe page online here.
