Perry Hall fire station captain retires after 33-year career

NOTTINGHAM, MD—A longtime Baltimore County firefighter has retired.

Captain Terry “Harpo” Berkeridge announced his retirement from the Baltimore County Fire Department following a 33-year career.

After serving as captain of the Perry Hall fire station for the past 20 years, Captain Berkeridge has hung up his gear.

Captain Berkeridge was also a lifetime member of the Kingsville Volunteer Fire Company.



There are seven active members of his family in the fire service, according to Councilman David Marks.

Councilman Marks presented Captain Berkeridge with an official resolution this week marking his many years of service to the community.
