NOTTINGHAM, MD—Baltimore County will open a new COVID-19 testing site at White Marsh Mall, County Executive Johnny Olszewski announced on Wednesday.
The new site will open on Monday, January 10, in the former Sears location.
Existing testing sites are already open in Dundalk, Randallstown, and Towson. Residents can call the Baltimore County COVID-19 hotline at 410-887-3816 to schedule a testing appointment.
Olszewski also said that the county will extend hours at its testing sites and may explore weekend hours.
Baltimore County officials have purchased 100,000 rapid test kits and expects them to be delivered shortly. Officials aim to start distributing the kits to county residents on Monday.
In response to rising hospitalization metrics, Olszewski asked county residents not to utilize emergency rooms for COVID-19 testing.
