ANNAPOLIS, MD—Governor Larry Hogan has ordered the U.S. and Maryland state flags to be lowered to half-staff in honor of Officer Keona Holley.
The Baltimore police officer was taken off of life support on Thursday after being ambushed in her vehicle in Baltimore City on December 16th.
“Our hearts are broken over the devastating loss of one of our true heroes,” said Governor Hogan on Thursday evening. “Please keep Officer Holley’s family in your prayers, as well as her brothers and sisters in [the Baltimore Police Department], and all those who put their lives on the line every day to keep the rest of us safe.”
Two suspects have been arrested and charged in connection with Officer Holley’s death.
