Student injured, classroom damaged after car crashes into Pine Grove Middle School

CARNEY, MD—Authorities remain on the scene after a vehicle crashed into Pine Grove Middle School on Thursday morning.

At just before 8:45 a.m., a car struck and broke through the wall of a classroom at the Carney-area school.

All students and staff were immediately evacuated and the fire department and medical personnel responded.

Baltimore County Public Schools officials say one student was injured and evaluated.  Police say the male driver of the vehicle also sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.



The fire department allowed students to return to the building at just after 9 a.m.
