TOWSON, MD—Baltimore County Public Schools officials are celebrating the school system’s high school athletic teams recognized at the state level during the 2021 fall season.
The following teams were honored:
State Champions
- Girls Cross Country Class 2A – Hereford High School
Coaches Adam Hittner and John Roemer
State Runners-up
- Football Class 2A – Milford Mill Academy
Coach Reggie White - Football Class 4A/3A – Dundalk High School
Coach Matt Banta - Girls Field Hockey Class 2A – Hereford High School
Coach Caitlin Duvall - Girls Soccer Class 2A – Hereford High School

“We are so proud of everything our student athletes accomplished this fall,” said BCPS Superintendent Dr. Darryl L. Williams. “Participating in athletics grants students the opportunity to learn the value of discipline, perseverance, and teamwork. Please join me in congratulating all of them and thanking their coaches, trainers, physical education teachers, and families for their invaluable support.”
“It is amazing to see BCPS teams compete at such a high level,” said Michael Sye, BCPS coordinator of athletics. “After a modified fall athletics season last school year, our student athletes and coaches were excited to return to a more normal season. This fall, they all exemplified the importance of hard work and dedication. I’d like to extend my congratulations to our state-recognized teams for a memorable season.”
