ESSEX, MD—Police are investigating a threat that resulted in three local schools being placed on lockdown on Wednesday morning.
At 11:15 a.m., the Baltimore County Police Department stated that officers were investigating a threat that was called into Kenwood High School.
While that investigation was being conducted, three Essex-area schools, including Kenwood and Eastern Tech, were placed on “lockout status” out of an abundance of caution.
Authorities have determined that the threat was not credible and all schools are returning to normal operations.
