Baltimore County Police Department to host Holiday Pop-Up Party, recruitment event on Tuesday

TOWSON, MD—On Tuesday, November 30, the Baltimore County Police Department will host its first annual “Holiday Pop-up Party.” The event will kick off at 8:00 a.m. in front of the Public Safety Building.

At 8:54 a.m., Traffic Jam Jimmy from Fox45 will be reporting live from the event. Throughout the morning (8 to 10 a.m.), police recruiters and specialized units will be in front of the Public Safety Building inviting members of the public to join them for coffee and conversation.

This Holiday Pop-Up Party – Recruitment Event aims to help those in the local community who may be struggling this holiday season. The event will also serve as a recruitment event in which the community can stop by and speak with recruiters about career opportunities. Community members will also have the ability to apply.



Tuesday’s “Holiday Pop-Up” event will mark the start of the BCoPD Recruitment Unit Toy & Food Drive. Members of the Recruitment Unit will be in the circle on 11/20 accepting donations.

“This is an opportunity for members of the public to stop by the PSB meet our officers, learn about our profession and help those in need in our community,” said Captain Paul Borowski. “Our goal is to stuff a police car with toys and non-perishable food items.”

Among the specialized units that will be attending Tuesday’s event:

  • Tactical
  • Mobile Crisis Team
  • Aviation
  • WATF (Warrant Apprehension Task Force)
  • Crime Lab
  • Professional Staff

All residents are welcome. There will be giveaways and refreshments will be served.
