41-year-old woman struck, killed in hit-and-run crash on Philadelphia Road

JOPPA, MD—Maryland State Police have confirmed that a 41-year-old woman was killed in a fatal, Sunday evening hit-and-run crash in Harford County.

The victim has been identified as Desirae Standiford of Abingdon. She was pronounced dead the scene.



Authorities say the victim was a pedestrian on Philadelphia Road east of Fashion Way near the Winters Run Bridge when the incident occurred. She was struck and killed at just before 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Based on evidence collected at the scene, troopers located the gray Ford pickup truck they believe struck and killed the victim. The driver of the vehicle has been identified and is cooperating with investigators at this time.
