Baltimore County government offices to be closed for Thanksgiving holiday

TOWSON, MD—In recognition of the Thanksgiving holiday, Baltimore County government offices, including Department of Health and Human Services COVID-19 vaccination clinics and testing sites, will be closed on Thursday, November 25th.

Additionally, Towson Loop service and CountyRide van service will not operate and all branches of the Baltimore County Public Library will be will be closed.

County parking meters are free on the holiday.

On Thursday, November 25, trash, single stream recyclables and yard materials will not be collected in Baltimore County, and all drop-off centers will be closed.

The impact of holidays varies among Baltimore County collection schedules. County residents should consult their particular collection schedule to learn when to set out materials during weeks that contain a collection holiday.



Schedules are available for download on the Bureau of Solid Waste Management’s website and may also be requested by calling 410-887-2000. In addition, collection schedules are available on the County’s free BaltCoGo mobile app.

Collections of all types may occur later than usual during the week following Thanksgiving. If a collection does not occur on the scheduled day during this period of time, materials should be left out until collection occurs.

Drop-off centers will be open with normal hours on Wednesday, November 24, and Friday, November 26.
