MIDDLE RIVER, MD—A pedestrian has sustained critical injuries after being struck by a train in Middle River.

The incident was reported at around 1 p.m. on Monday in the area of Golden Ring Road at Orems Road (21220), according to the Baltimore County Fire Department.

Life-threatening injuries are being reported and rescue crews are attempting to extricate the victim.

Motorists should avoid the area.
