Baltimore County Public Library kicks off ‘Connecting the Community’ holiday drive

NOTTINGHAM, MD—The Baltimore County Public Library will be collecting items for several nonprofits throughout the County to share with those in need this holiday season.

BCPL will collect new, unwrapped items at each of its 19 branches through the “Connecting the Community Toy Drive.” Branch staff selected hyperlocal organizations that will send donations directly back to their community. Each branch will collect items based on organizations’ individual needs.

The Perry Hall, White Marsh, and Rosedale branches will be collecting items for the Community Assistance Network at the Eastern Family Resource Center.  A list of nonprofits and items needed can be found online here.

The collection begins on Monday, November 15th. Donations can be dropped off both in-branch and via curbside service during regular business hours—Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.—through Monday, December 13th. Donations will be sent to organizations on December 15 and distributed to families in time for the holidays.

Additional information about the drive can be found online here.
