Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect in Baltimore area through Sunday evening

NOTTINGHAM, MD—As the last of the wet weather moves through the Baltimore area, a Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect.

The advisory will be in effect until 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Forecasters expect up to one half foot of inundation above ground level in low lying areas due to tidal flooding, mainly in southern Baltimore County and in Baltimore City.

Flooding of lots, parks, and roads with isolated road closures are expected.

Tides of 1.5 to 2 feet above normal are likely. The next high tide at Fort McHenry will be at 3:44 p.m. The next high tide at Bowley Bar will be at 5:07 p.m.

If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Residents should take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.
