NOTTINGHAM, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for the Baltimore area.
The advisory will be in effect from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday.
East winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts of 50 to 55 mph are expected. The strongest winds will be along the immediate shoreline along the Chesapeake Bay and Patapsco River.
Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
Motorists should use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high-profile vehicle. Residents should secure outdoor objects.
Flood watches are warnings are also in effect for the Baltimore area.
