Wind Advisory issued for Baltimore area

NOTTINGHAM, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for the Baltimore area.

The advisory will be in effect from noon until midnight on Tuesday.



An offshore low pressure system will bring strong winds to the area on Tuesday.

Winds of 25–35 MPH are expected with gusts of up to 50 MPH.

Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Motorists should use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high-profile vehicle. Residents should secure outdoor objects.
