Strong storms possible in Baltimore area on Monday afternoon, evening

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Stormy weather could be on tap following an unseasonably warm Monday in the Baltimore area.

The National Weather Service says strong to severe thunderstorms are possible ahead of a cold front late Monday afternoon and into Monday evening.



These storms may cause locally damaging wind gusts as well as a possible tornado.

A Gale Warning is also in effect for the middle Chesapeake Bay and adjacent waters from Tuesday afternoon through late Tuesday night.

Another developing system could bring heavy rains to the area on Thursday and into Friday.
