Councilman Marks appoints longtime educator Bev German to Planning Board

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Baltimore County Councilman David Marks on Wednesday announced that he will appoint longtime educator Beverly German to the Baltimore County Planning Board, filling the seat vacated by Paul Hartman.

The Planning Board advises the county government on planning and development policies, making recommendations on zoning issues during the Comprehensive Zoning Map Process.

“I would like to profoundly thank Paul Hartman for his exceptional service to Baltimore County,” said Councilman Marks. “I would also like to congratulate Bev German on her appointment. Her years of experience as an educator will be an asset to the Planning Board. I also appreciate her roots in many parts of the Fifth District – as Executive Director of the Towson Learning Network; principal of Eastside several schools; and as a Board member of the Perry Hall Improvement Association.”

Bev German is a lifelong Baltimore County resident, moving to Perry Hall in 1977. She has spent 50 years in education, serving as principal of Victory Villa and Perry Hall Elementary Schools and Pine Grove Middle School. She has served as Executive Director of Off-Campus Programs at Towson University
