Winning $1 million Maryland Lottery scratch-off ticket sold in Essex

NOTTINGHAM, MD—A newly-minted millionaire in Essex claimed the top Maryland Lottery ticket of the past week.

In all, 23 players across the state won or claimed prizes of $10,000 or more, and the Lottery paid nearly $27.9 million in prizes in the seven days ending October 17th.

The winning $1 million Money Explosion ticket was sold at Weis Markets, located at 165 Orville Road.



A winning $10,000 $10,000 Lucky ticket was also sold at Parkside Liquors, located at 5110 Sinclair Lane (21206).

Winners of prizes larger than $25,000 must redeem their tickets at the Maryland Lottery Claims Center in Baltimore, which is open by appointment only. More information is available on the How To Claim page of mdlottery.com.

Scratch-off winners have 182 days from the announced end-of-game date. Last claim dates for scratch-off tickets are published in the scratch-off section of mdlottery.com.
