CARNEY, MD—Crews are on the scene of a Friday afternoon fire in Carney.

The fire was reported at around 4:45 p.m. at Oak Crest Senior Living Community in the 8800-block of Walther Boulevard (21234).

Arriving units found smoke showing from a high-rise unit with a fire in the kitchen.

One patient is being treated for smoke inhalation.

Motorists should use caution in the area.
