NOTTINGHAM, MD—Weis Markets went the extra mile on Wednesday evening to help some local residents who are without water.
A large water main break in the Belmont South community has left hundreds of residents without service.
On Wednesday, the Weis Markets on Joppa Road donated 120 gallons of water to those affected.
Councilman David Marks and Delegate Carl Jackson loaded the water onto the truck of a local resident.
Councilman Marks, Delegate Jackson, and Delegate Harry Bhandari then went door-to-door distributing the water to residents.
Earlier in the day, Councilman Marks announced Maximum Fitness and The Y in Perry Hall and Parkville had made their facilities available to residents who needed hot showers.
