Attempted robbery reported in Nottingham, assault reported in Middle River

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Police are investigating several local crimes that were reported in recent days.

At just before 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, September 29, officers responded to a disturbance in the 6000-block of Lanette Road (21206), after two victims and an armed suspect got into a verbal argument. The suspect assaulted the victims, then another victim approached to de-escalate the situation. He was also assaulted by the suspect. Police arrested the suspect at the scene.



At just before 11:15 a.m. on Monday, October 4, three individuals attempted to assault an employee and steal a shopping cart full of items from a business in the 5200-block of Campbell Boulevard in Nottingham (21236). The suspect then fled the scene in a vehicle.

At 6 a.m. on Sunday, October 10, a known individual attempted to gain entry into a residence in the 2100-block of Firethorn Road in Middle River (21220). When confronted by the homeowner, the suspect attempted to assault the victim with a knife.
