Youth charged as adult in connection with Essex homicide

ESSEX, MD—Police on Tuesday announced that a juvenile has been arrested in connection with a weekend homicide in Essex.

At just after 9 a.m. on Sunday, September 5, officers with the Baltimore County Police Department responded to the 200-block of Oberle Avenue (21221).



When officers arrived, they found 59-year-old Dante Doles Sr. suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds.  He was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

Homicide detectives later identified the person responsible.

The juvenile suspect, who has not been identified, is in police custody and has been charged as an adult.
