NOTTINGHAM, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for southern Baltimore County and for Baltimore City.
The watch will be in effect from 2 a.m. through mid-day on Friday.
Numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected to pass through the area.
Thunderstorms may be capable of producing heavy rainfall of 1 to 2 inches per hour.
Heavy rainfall may result in rapid rises on streams, creeks, and in urban and poor drainage areas. This will especially be the case where repetitive or persistent thunderstorm activity occurs.
Residents should stay tuned to local forecasts throughout the day.
