WHITE MARSH, MD—The members of White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company offered their hospitality to some passengers who were left stranded after their bus broke down on I-95 on Saturday night.
At around 9:30 p.m., several units from WMVFC and Kingsville VFC responded to a report of a disabled bus with 48 passengers aboard.
Maryland State Police requested assistance from the fire department to transport the bus passengers, many of whom were elderly, off of the highway to the White Marsh Park and Ride.
Instead, WMVFC took them to their station, where they could wait for another bus in their community room. Canteen members also provided cold drinks, snacks, and hot dogs.
After a delay of more than three hours, all 48 passengers boarded another bus and made their way home to Richmond, VA.
