CARNEY, MD—Police have arrested a suspect following an assault that took place in Carney.

At just before 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, July 8, a known individual showed up at a home in the 9200-block of Avondale Road (21234).

Police say the suspect assaulted a woman there and fled the scene prior to police arrival.

The suspect later returned to the location and was arrested.

The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
