TOWSON, MD—While Baltimore County Public Schools expects most of its students to return to five-day per week, in person learning in its school buildings for the 2021-2022 school year, it is offering a Virtual Learning Program to ensure that the needs of all families are met.
“We are seeking qualified, talented teachers to work in this program, providing full-time online instruction for students in Kindergarten through Grade 12,” said BCPS Superintendent Dr. Darryl L. Williams. “Applicants for these teaching positions must be certified or eligible for certification in Maryland and interested in teaching in a virtual classroom.”
Interested educators can apply by visiting the BCPS jobs webpage and entering “virtual” in the job search box. Additional information about the BCPS Virtual Learning Program is available online, and applicants can visit the teacher recruitment webpage for human resources representatives’ contact information.
BCPS, the nation’s 25th largest school system, provides an array of supports for new teachers, as well as opportunities for continued professional and leadership development. Benefits for teachers include health insurance, dental, vision, retirement plans, and paid leave.
