NOTTINGHAM, MD—Blustery conditions are expected in the Baltimore area on Friday.
The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning, which will be in effect from noon Friday through 2 a.m. on Saturday.
Northwest winds of 20 to 35 mph are expected with gusts of up to 60 mph.
The strongest winds are most likely to arrive late Friday afternoon through Friday evening.
Damaging winds may blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
Forecasters say residents should avoid being outside in forested areas and around trees and branches. Residents should also remain in the lower levels of their homes during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Motorists should use caution.
