85-year-old man charged in connection with fatal crash at Parkville crab house

PARKVILLE, MD—Police say an 85-year-old man has been charged in connection with a fatal crash that occurred in Parkville in December.

Louis Anthony Fernandez has been charged with manslaughter, reckless driving, and other related charges in connection with the fatal accident that occurred on December 18th at Parkville Crabs.



Deanna Jean Allik, 35, of the 8100-block of Harford Road (21234).

At just after 12:30 p.m. on December 18, a Subaru Outback that was on the parking lot of the restaurant, located in the 7800-block of Harford Road, drove through the glass window area at the front of the business. Police immediately responded and began to attempt to aid the driver, a passenger, and one person who was inside the building when the crash occurred.

The driver, Fernandez, and passenger did not report any injuries, but Allik, who was inside the building, was struck by debris and pronounced dead at the scene.
