Parkville Precinct plants, dedicates shrub to commemorate National Crime Victims’ Rights Week

PARKVILLE, MD—The Baltimore County Police Department’s Parkville Precinct planted and dedicated a shrub on Wednesday afternoon to commemorate National Crime Victims’ Rights Week.

The ceremony was held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday.

Officers planted a Double Knockout Rose to raise awareness about crime victims’ issues and rights and to introduce the community to the important resources and services available.

Every April, the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office for Victims of Crime leads communities throughout the country in an annual observances of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week.

The 40th anniversary of NCVRW is being observed April 18–24, 2021. Several events are being held countywide this week to mark the anniversary.

“Thank you to all who are advancing public safety and justice in our communities,” said Councilman David Marks, who represents western Perry Hall, an area serviced by the Parkville Precinct.
