Police: Argument led to overnight shooting that left two dead

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Police have released additional details on the overnight shooting that took place on Lanham Way.



At just before 11 p.m. on Wednesday night, officers responded to the scene of a triple shooting in the 5500-block of Lanham Way (21206). Officers found three people suffering from gunshot wounds.

All three victims were transported to the hospital.  Two of the victims later died as a result of their injuries.

The deceased victims have been identified as 42-year-old Nyatiaha Faltz and 19-year-old Grantley Herbert.  An 8-year-old sustained a non-fatal injury.

An initial investigation indicates that this shooting stemmed from an argument that occurred during a family gathering.

Homicide detectives are actively investigating this incident.  Anyone with additional information is asked to call police at 410-307-2020.
