NOTTINGHAM, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for the Nottingham area.
The warning will be in effect until 6:15 p.m. on Sunday and affects the entire NottinghamMD.com coverage area.
At just after 5:30 p.m., thunderstorms with a history of producing wind damage and measured wind gusts to near 60 mph were located along a line extending from near Cockeysville to Ellicott City, moving east at 55 mph.
Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches to fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as damage homes and vehicles.
Roadways may become blocked by downed trees. Localized power outages are possible. Unsecured light objects may become projectiles.
