Female trapped in Rosedale storm drain, rescue in progress

UPDATE: The female victim was located in the drain at just after 1:45 p.m. She was freed by 2:15 p.m. and taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

ROSEDALE, MD—Crews are performing a Saturday afternoon confined space rescue in Rosedale.

At just before 12:30 p.m., units responded to the 9200-block of Oswald Way (21237).

At the scene, rescue teams found a female was trapped about 25 feet inside of a storm drain.

Hazmat personnel are also responding to the scene.

There has been no word on any injuries.

Motorists should use caution in the area.
