NOTTINGHAM, MD—As Councilman David Marks announced back in December, the long-awaited expansion of the Seven Oaks Senior Center parking lot will soon begin.

Councilman Marks this week announced that construction will begin in November.  The expansion will add capacity to one of the fastest-growing senior centers in the area.

Councilman Marks has pushed for more parking at the senior center for the past five years.

“The county is working with Baltimore County Public Schools to secure all permissions to use part of the elementary school site. It is now expected that construction will begin on November 2, 2021, and be completed around April 13, 2022,” said Councilman Marks. “Also, we continue to await word from the Governor’s office on when Senior Centers will be permitted to reopen. The Maryland Department of Aging is working with the Maryland Department of Health to assess the safety of reopening at this time.”

The Seven Oaks Senior Center is located at 9210 Seven Courts Drive in Nottingham/Perry Hall (21236).
