Light snow, freezing rain could impact Tuesday morning commute

NOTTINGHAM, MD—The National Weather Service says there is a potential for icy conditions for the Tuesday morning commute in Baltimore County.

A period of light snow and freezing rain are possible across north-central and northeast Maryland, including the Baltimore area. A coating of snow or a light glaze of ice is possible on area roads.

If this threat does materialize during the Tuesday morning rush-hour, forecasters say many roads could quickly turn icy. This could lead to dangerous traveling conditions, multiple accidents, and extensive delays.

If commuting Tuesday morning, be aware of the possibility of significant travel disruptions. Plan ahead by allowing for extra travel time, and consider using public transportation and telework options.
