NOTTINGHAM, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Baltimore County.
The warning will be in effect from 5 a.m. until noon on Sunday.
Forecasters say heavy snow is expected, with total snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches.
Travel could be very difficult. Snow is expected to begin between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m. The heaviest snow is expected between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m., when visibility may be reduced to a quarter mile and snowfall rates could reach one inch per hour.
Motorists who must venture out should bring an extra flashlight, food, and water in case of an emergency.
