NOTTINGHAM, MD—A water main leak in the Seven Courts community has returned, just weeks after it was repaired.
Baltimore County Councilman David Marks on Thursday passed along the following information from the county Department of Public Works about a water leak at Hoban Court and Seven Courts Drive:
“Seven Courts Drive (which last appeared on the lists December 30 & 31) is a small leak and is not yet impacting residents. However, it will eventually require a Baltimore City repair and that will mean turning down the valves during the repair period. We’re not at that stage yet and the City contractor has, as far as I know, not been contacted to handle the job.”
This is the same location as a leak that caused water and road shutdowns in June and in December of 2020.
“Baltimore City manages our water supply. Having a leak three times in one year at the same location completely illustrates why we need a regional water authority,” said Councilman Marks. “The County Council supports this concept, and now is the time for the state legislature to act.”
