ANNAPOLIS, MD—Governor Larry Hogan and First Lady Yumi Hogan received their COVID-19 vaccines on Monday morning.
Lieutenant Governor Boyd Rutherford also received his vaccine at the State House in Annapolis.
Maryland’s leaders received their first dose Moderna vaccine on Monday.
“Getting vaccinated is the only way to keep you, your family, your friends, and your community healthy and safe, and it is absolutely critical to preventing more illnesses, more hospitalizations, and more deaths,” said Governor Hogan. “It’s the only way to end the damage to our economy and to bring this pandemic to an end.”
Last week, Governor Hogan announced that the state would be moving into phase 1B of Maryland’s vaccination plan, with residents 65 and over to begin receiving COVID-19 vaccines this month.
