Governor Hogan to undergo skin cancer surgery on Friday

ANNAPOLIS, MD—Governor Larry Hogan will undergo minor surgery this week.

The governor on Wednesday announced that he would have minor outpatient surgery this Friday to remove early-stage basal and squamous cell carcinoma on his face and shoulder.

This is a form of cancer that the governor has had before.

“I’ve beat this type of cancer before, and I’m feeling great—thanks for all the well wishes,” Governor Hogan said on Wednesday.

Hogan was previously diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma shortly after he was sworn in as governor back in 2015.
