Councilman Marks: Greg Heitner reappointed to recreation board

PERRY HALL, MD—Baltimore County Councilman David Marks on Friday announced the reappointment of Perry Hall resident Greg Heitner as the Fifth District representative to the Board of Recreation and Parks.

Heitner has served since January 2014. His four-year appointment will conclude in 2024.

“I would like to thank Mr. Heitner for his diligent service to Baltimore County,” said Councilman Marks. “Working with our county and state partners, we have been able to advance eight new parks in the Fifth District. Mr. Heitner has been a leader in helping to complete many of these projects.”

Over the past decade, four new parks have opened in Perry Hall – Angel Park, Gough Park, the Perry Paw Dog Park, and Soukup Arena. One has opened along the Loch Raven Boulevard corridor, and three others have advanced in Towson. “I am delighted to continue serving in this capacity for the families of Baltimore County,” Heitner mentioned.

Councilman Marks also thanked recreation council leaders for their assistance. “The success of our recreation and parks department is directly related to the hard work of our volunteers, and I thank them for all of their efforts.”
