Winter Storm Warning issued for northern Baltimore County, 3–6” now expected in Nottingham area

UPDATE: As of 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, the National Weather Service has updated their forecast map.  Forecasters are now calling for 3 – 6″ of snow in the Nottingham area.

NOTTINGHAM, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for northern Baltimore County.



A powerful winter storm is making its way toward the East Coast and will likely give Maryland its biggest snowfall totals since January 2016.

The warning will be in effect from Wednesday morning through late Wednesday night and will cover northern Baltimore County, where 12–18” of accumulation are expected.

For the Nottingham area, a Winter Storm Watch is still in effect and forecasters are calling for 3–6”.

Significant travel delays are possible and some area roads may become impassible. Residents should stay tuned to local forecasts.
