NOTTINGHAM, MD—The National Weather Service says moderate to heavy rain is possible on Friday night through Saturday morning and that isolated instances of flooding are possible.
A storm developing in the Southeast will evolve into an intense Nor’easter on Saturday. Showers and thunderstorms will blossom from the Deep South to the southern Appalachians on Friday while periods of rain take shape from the northern Mid-Atlantic to coastal New England during the second half of the day.
The storm is forecast to strengthen as it tracks across the Mid-Atlantic and reaches the DelMarVa coast on Saturday morning.
The rain should come to an end in the Mid-Atlantic on Saturday morning. Some coastal flooding and beach erosion is possible.
